WASHINGTON—A bipartisan duo of House lawmakers has introduced a resolution to honor the man who lost his life at the July 13 Trump rally, during an assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.
Corey Comperatore, 50, attended the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He was killed when Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, opened fire from a rooftop in an attempt to assassinate the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.
Reps. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) and Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) introduced the resolution on July 15 to remember Mr. Comperatore.
It calls Mr. Comperatore “a hero to his family and hero to his country for his service.”
It states that the House “recognizes the life of Corey Comperatore and his service to the country” and “recognizes that Corey Comperatore gave his life for his wife and two daughters.”…
