U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) called for Democrats to look to the future after losing the White House, Senate, and likely the House of Representatives.
“I don’t want to get involved,” Sanders told CNN’s “State of the Union” on Nov. 10. “We got to look forward and not in the back. Kamala did her very best. She came in, she won the debate with Trump. She worked as hard as she possibly could.”
“Let’s look to the future and not go backwards,” said the independent lawmaker, who easily won his reelection.
Sanders, who unsuccessfully ran as a Democrat for the White House in 2016 and 2020, released a lengthy statement shortly after President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, lamenting that the Democratic Party, which he caucuses with in the Senate, has lost key demographics….
