Voters in New Jersey’s 10th Congressional District are heading to the polls on July 16 to select their chosen candidate to serve out the remainder of the late U.S. Rep. Donald Payne Jr.’s term.
Democrats will make their selection from a crowded field of 11 contenders, of whom three survived legal challenges to their candidacy.
The winner of that contest will take on Carmen Bucco, the sole Republican candidate, in the special general election on Sept. 18.
Mr. Bucco is also the GOP candidate in the November election to hold the seat for a full term. The small business owner is hoping for an upset in a district where registered Democrats outnumber Republicans 6 to 1….
