Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. apologized on July 16 after video footage of a discussion he had with former President Donald Trump was leaked.
“When President Trump called me I was taping with an in-house videographer. I should have ordered the videographer to stop recording immediately. I am mortified that this was posted,” Mr. Kennedy wrote on the social media platform X.
“I apologize to the president,” he added.
Mr. Kennedy’s son leaked the video online earlier in the day, according to screenshots of the post. The younger Kennedy later deleted the video, but it circulated widely online.
