Jon Stewart has extended his deal to remain the host of “The Daily Show” on Monday nights through December 2025.
Paramount announced on Monday that Stewart, who returned in early 2024 to host the show through the election cycle, will also continue as executive producer of the satirical news program.
“His ability to cut through the noise and deliver clear-eyed insights is exactly what we need which is why we are thrilled to have him leading ‘The Daily Show’ for another year,” Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global co-CEO and Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios CEO, said in a news release.
“The Daily Show” will continue to split hosting duties throughout the week with the show’s other comedians, including Michael Kosta, Jordan Klepper, Desi Lydic, and Ronny Chieng….
