As the last remaining votes are tallied nationwide, several key House races that are yet to be called will decide which party controls the chamber in 2025.
As of Saturday afternoon, The Associated Press still hasn’t called 23 seats in 11 states. The current status has Repicans leading Democrats by 212 seats to 200. A majority is reached at 218 seats.
If the current margins endure once all votes are counted, Republicans could net 12 more seats, for a total of 224. Democrats could add 11 seats, for a total of 211 as the new Congress is sworn in next year.
